Who I Am

Hi! I am Tessi Flood, a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I am the youngest of four girls (Tessi actually means fourth child)!

I have been working in the Maternal Child Health space for over 10 years, and am passionate about supporting families. I started my nursing story in a Neonatal Intensive Care where I spent a lot of time working with medically fragile infants and helping them grow. I realized mother's needed a support system when my own sister had her first child with a unique suck; I spent time helping her get a strong supply. Support in the early days is essential for success, but there are limited resources available for new families. When meeting new families my goal is to be able to ensure confidence, competence and comfort in feeding your child.

I became an IBCLC because I love helping families - whether it's helping a newborn latch on in golden hour or teaching a family member how to help the baby burp. Don't hesitate to reach out!
